Client: Nursing College

Brief: The rapid growth of a nursing college, now spanning over 20 campuses with 13,000+ students and 1,900+ faculty and staff, has led to an increasing reliance on online classes and resources. As a result, ensuring secure access has become essential to mitigate security threats. To address this, the college implemented Single Sign-On (SSO), but the IT department is looking for bite sized training to provide to newly enrolled students and faculty to access their top used platforms securely.

The Process:

I created a user-friendly guide with visual instructions, designed to seamlessly integrate into students' routines and accessible on their mobile devices. After conducting a needs assessment through student feedback, I identified key challenges and set objectives to improve security and simplify access. Collaborating with an IT specialist, I ensured compatibility across devices and developed step-by-step instructions, maintaining brand consistency. After internally testing and refining the guide based on feedback, it was launched on an accessible platform with training sessions and support resources. I tracked usage and feedback to continuously update the guide to meet student needs.

Results:

Post-implementation data revealed a significant decrease in support requests related to SSO issues.

Students and faculty demonstrated higher confidence in securely accessing the college’s digital resources.

The training effectively integrated into users’ daily routines, improved overall engagement and ease of use.
